I've come to realize that I am a bit of a podcast snob.
I'm very happy with my line up and have come to notice that I don't have the patience for a podcast that doesn't capture my attention in the first hour... however (!) I have added a new addition to my weekly lineup and I couldn't be happier. Oprah's Super Soul Conversations podcast is exactly the breath of fresh air that I need in my life right now.

If you're looking for something enlightening, inspiring to listen to, give this podcast a try. I started with "Pastor A.R. Bernard: Four Things Women Want from a Man."

A Shift Is Coming.

A shift is coming.

 

I feel it stronger than ever. I am at a crossroads in my life and there is so much power in this moment. Have you ever noticed when driving to a destination that you've been to hundreds of times that you revert to an almost cruise control state... you don't even think of the turns or the merges because you've taken the trip so many times before?

They say that in order to keep your brain alert you should try to learn different routes to the same destination... to get out of this habit of not thinking and just going through the motions.

 

I want to see new sights. to challenge myself to learn new ways. to meet new people and discover new places along the way.

 

I'm not afraid of the unknown, rather intrigued by it.

 

I welcome it.

With all of the leaps that I've made this year, I am ready for more "forward."

Artist Yaoyao Ma Van As Beautifully Captures the Essence of Living Alone

I love these. The beauty that Yaoyao Ma Van As captures in her work is refreshingly relatable - all the way down to her little dog, Parker, that appears in many of her drawings. I chose a few that rang true for me, but you can check out the rest here.
