Dime of Pearl Flower Power Recap: 6/15/18

Much love to everyone that came out and supported @dimeofpearlcollections flower power event last Friday. It was a great time, and I look forward to more women powered events in the future. 💕🌸 I also want to give a special shoutout to the ladies of the @melaninuncorked podcast for the super sweet feature they did on me as ‘Influential Millennial’ of the week! Be sure to tune in and check it out! (episode 6, 4:58)

Weekend Recap: BDay*

I'm really big on list making.
there's something so fulfilling about writing things down that you want to accomplish and crossing them off as you go
...that's the best part

these pictures are the aftermath of a successful, albeit extremely jam packed weekend with my love/ best friend

I can be really annoying with all of my outings
and over-planning
and strong sense of urgency to get it ALL done

but
he was a good sport about it
and the memories made will last a lifetime

so I'd say job well done.

until the next time

....
growing closer
the future is becoming clearer
and nearer

just light,
no fear

Weekend Recap: The Black Love Experience Part Trois

This weekend I had the pleasure of attending The Black Love Experience Part Trois, and it was awesome. The line was wrapped around the block, (which I've never experienced before at one of these events) but the experience was worth the wait; each year it gets better. This year offered more art than years prior from amazingly talented black artists, a breathology station (where I thoroughly enjoyed learning proper breathing techniques), two paint and sip sessions and my personal favorite... a station where you could write a love letter to black people, a lover, or whoever else you choose and have it typed up on an old fashioned typewriter! So classically dope.

Special shout out to Ujaama Box and Charles Jean Pierre!
