Musings |Thoughts On Love: 7/11/2014
To choose to be in a relationship with someone is so beautiful as it is a declaration of: 'I choose to be with this person over everyone else.' Out of all of the billions (and counting) people in the world, I choose you. And that's not saying just everyone in our lives at the moment because we meet so many people over the course of a lifetime. I feel as though you have to have something so strong to say, 'I choose you over people that I haven't even met yet,' because the feeling is that real. You know that no matter who you might run into tomorrow, or the next day or five years down the line... no one can or will compare to what you've found in this one special person. Unshakable, unmovable. That's love.

Musings: 7/9/2014
I've never felt more free
my only responsibility is to surrender to my needs
and to continue to work on making myself a better person
I don't have to answer to anyone
I don't have to tip toe around feelings or
follow anyone else's blueprint for my life
I don't have to live up to anyone's expectations
or in anyone's shadow
I feel good
I deserve this.

"We all want things to stay the same, David…settle for living in misery, because we’re afraid of change, of things crumbling to ruins. Then I looked around in this place, at the chaos it’s endured, the way it’s been adapted, burned, pillaged…then found a way to build itself back up again, and I was reassured. Ruin is a gift, ruin is the road to transformation."
"If you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue, and if you accept everyone you meet as a teacher…and if you are prepared, most of all, to forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you."
