INSPIRE THE TRIBE x Big Chief DC
Last week. Mad real.
Special shoutout to everyone who supported - whether you waited in that crazy line for over an hour, or didn't quite make it in... I appreciate that you showed up. I'm so grateful for the love that you all continue to show me and blessed to have such amazing supporters of my art and message. Words can't explain how it feels to have people connect with your art.
To everyone that approached me to tell me something resonated with them, purchased a piece, asked me questions to delve a little deeper into the meaning behind my art or just took a card; the people who have been to EVERY show, continue to believe in me, and those who "got it" way before I even knew what my message was... thank you.

Musings: 12/9/16
the end of 2016 is steadily approaching and I've never felt more ready for a new year to begin.
unlike many who've complained of 2016 being a horror year for them,
it has treated me extremely well!
I've made a lot of strides as an artist
gained balance in my personal life
taken chances whether they succeeded or not
and learned a ton about myself and others
I have a few art shows locked in for the beginning of the year that I'm currently creating for.
excited to see what's in store
I also have a surprise for my February show. February 23rd to be exact.
I will be selling tickets via this link, and I will offer a special discount for all who purchase through the link, as well as a special giveaway raffle. You MUST purchase through the link to be eligible.

And Love,
and love,
do you know how I yearn for you
late night candles I burn for you
praying you'll find your way home
a place you've never known
but once you arrive you'll see
that it's right here with me
that it's right here with me
and that you've never quite been home before

Thank YOU.
tomorrow I will have marked another check on my bucket list
humbled, grateful
thank you to everyone that believes in me and my talent.
I hope you enjoy what I have been working so hard on for the past month and a half, and literally dedicated all of my free time to. Creating makes me happy; it gives me something to get lost in and ultimately allows me to feel 'found.' It was a goal of mine to have an art show in 2015 - and after tomorrow I can say I've done just that. It was a goal of mine to have my artwork hanging in someone's home - after tomorrow I can say I've accomplished that too.
With focus, determination, prayer and a positive mindset you can do anything you set out to do. More of a believer with every passing day.

Unite Against Racism x Collaborative Art Piece x DMV
On Saturday I joined several fellow artists/ bloggers/ creatives on a collaborative piece with the purpose of sparking discussion on the ongoing killings of young black men/ women in America. We were encouraged to express our reactions, and to stick to an overall theme of 'peace' and bringing these senseless killings to an end.
I was a little short on time and didn't get into it like I would have liked, but I'm extremely happy with the way it turned out. It felt great to work with other talented people and watch a vision come to life before my eyes, especially for such a great cause.
Special thanks to @hedislymane and @ajasmineinbloom for having me.
