California was beautiful.
:)
Santa Monica Pier

had a talk with some of my girlfriends today.
the underlying theme;
love of course!
(we're saps; hopeless romantics at best)
don't limit yourself based on your surroundings
you never know what's just beyond your comfort zone..
beyond your locale
until you reach out
get out, learn a new part of the world
you never know who or when or where

sometimes God wants YOU to make the decision
and if He see's you're not doing it He will
place situations and things in your life to almost make you walk away
sometimes He'll make people leave you because He knows you don't have then strength to walk away
and He doesn't want you to waste anymore of your time.

and closure is tricky..
a lot of times we want it with some small hope that the door isn't really closed.

I can't miss this one. I WON'T!

soon to be in the sky.

recap; 105th founders day dinner with some of my sisters.

Came across this sweet story the other day.
An anonymous letter responding to the graffiti scribbled along a bathroom stall... a place where people often confess their deepest darkest secrets.

Read the heartfelt excerpt below:

To the girl who was raped: You are so strong. I cannot fathom the pain you must have gone through. The fact that you have the bravery to write it (even on a bathroom wall) gives me hope.
To the girl with eating disorders: I promise you, although I don't know you, you are beautiful, you deserve your health. You deserve freedom from that hell.
To the girl with the alcoholic father: I am so sorry for the agony it must cause. Again, such courage is remarkable you must be such a strong person to see such pain.
To the girl whose father died: Missing them never goes away. The ache of their absence never goes away. But the love they had, the memories you share surely must last. I am sure, out of the bottom of my heart, the people who have left you in this world are exceptionally proud of the person you are.
Everytime(sic) I see these walls, these confessions, I feel so blessed to know I have the priviledge(sic) of seeing them. Your moments, these secrets, are all precious even though they are sad. To all of you (including those I did not mention, and those who have not yet written)
-You are worthy.
-You are strong.
-You are brave.
-You are loved.
-Somebody cares.

I can have all of my needs met.... if I sacrifice my wants
That's what it comes down to
I don't want to become such a slave to my wants
that I'm neglecting what I need
but what are needs if you don't want them
I'm talking about love ya'll.
