My first trip to Jamaica was for my 25th birthday. I had such an amazing time there. There was so much beauty surrounding us, from the genuine kindness of all of the people we encountered to the sunsets that we watched every evening; all of my worries melted away.. even if just for a little while. I'm so grateful to have had such an eye opening experience and I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. It's amazing how the more of the world you see the smaller yours becomes.

It's like I was living

But I wasn't aware

I celebrated a day early at the Broccoli City festival in DC; such a dope event. There were live grafitti mural paintings, performances by Big KRIT, organic food trucks and yoga workshops. The overall vibe was fun and peaceful, with people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate this beautiful planet we live on!

( SIDE NOTE: DC is really starting to put together some nice events. Looking forward to seeing what the summer has in store. )
