I dedicated my Saturday to thrifting in Bethesda and was pleasantly surprised to find that there was an artist market going on as well. So imagine my delight when my ears were bombarded with the beautiful sound of Joy Ike, a Pittsburgh based singer songwriter. Daily Inspiration x 7/6/11
‘Lakes and Reservoirs’ is the sickkk collection pictured here by Artist Matthew Brandt. Brandt takes snapshots of beautiful bodies of water throughout the country, and after developing proceeds to submerge the photo into the lake or reservoir that is being portrayed. Thus, allowing the photgraphs to "take on a life of their own" with water determining what the piece will inevitably look like.
I can hardly contain my excitement!!!! Martin Parks, the innovative twosome hailing from ChicagoLand are set to release their highly anticipated mixtape. This will be the third independent project to be released by the duo (check out past projects here ). The release date has yet to be announced, but once it is I'll be sure to keep you updated. And trust me... you don't want to miss this one!
