Brooklyn Is Always A Good Idea: July 2023
thrifted in bushwick
ate good at nobu
stumpled upon a fire speakeasy
had a few cute rooftop moments
and bought some artsy, vintage designer heels
I'm a happy girl.
will be back soon to do it all again
( SIDE BAR: I think I might rewatch the MGM series, 'From'. It was really good. Have you watched?)

The Hood Galleria x Buy Art Not Drugs Art Exhibition: 7/8/2023
Imagine having such a strongly curated collection of art that you could put on your own exhibition showcasing it and... people will come?! the hood galleria was a moment.
I told Jerome that next year my art will a part of his collection, and I mean that.
here's to getting back to creating more than just "merch."
I miss painting.
I miss experimenting with new mediums.
I miss creating just for the sake of creating.
2023 will open new doors to creativity.
strengthening my discipline and focus.
5 months remain...

Musings: 6/18/2023
finding comfort in vulnerability
truly opening yourself up to feel all of the things
regardless of the outcome
feels like a bit of a superpower
so many people are afraid to peel back that extra layer and truly expose
their heart
I find comfort in knowing that I am capable
and unafraid

Recap: The Roots Picnic 2023
obsessed with these pants.
I want to wear them every day.
failed opportunity to bring one of my Uzi bookmarks to the festival, but I took this picture so I could edit it in lol.
google pixel's 50 years of hip hop exhibit.
we got the chance to be edited onto different album covers.
so much fun.
I will also be wearing this Coyote Ugly inspired top again. I loved it so much.
the ride home consisted of a lot of screamo, alternative hip hop and soul. no real in between.
a time was had.
video screenshots for the win.
What's better than live music? I mean really.
I finallyyyy made my way back to the Roots Picnic this year. Once I saw that Usher was added to the lineup it was a no brainer for me - and he did NOT disappoint. It felt so good to get back into the festival swing with my favorite girl, Tiff (of dolcezzasweet.blogspot.com. ). We saw a State Property Reunion and the Fugees, Usher, Uzi, Ari Lennox, City Girls, Eve, Busta Rhymes, Isley Brothers, Backyard Band, Glorilla, Lucky Daye... the list goes on. It reminded me of 2014 - 2016 summers. And if this past weekend was any indication, this summer feels like it's going to be a good one. I'm ready.
