A Whole New World

it's been a while since I've written musings on here

life has gotten so busy

I'm still riding a high of participating in Washington DC's 10th Annual Art All Night Festival and completing my very first mural for the Xtra Selfie Museum in Pentagon City mall - both of which have been on my bucket list for years now.

I'm extremely proud to have crossed two items off back to back

it's so surreal how you can compile a list that sits for years and years, and within a matter of weeks start knocking away at it. it's an amazing feeling. and one that I hope I'm able to rediscover again and again.

it's important that we extend ourselves grace. this is your daily reminder.

I want more for myself

and the only way to truly attain that is to get it for myself.

BTS Inspire the TRIBE x Xtra Selfie Museum Video Game Room Mural

extremely proud of the mural I completed for the Xtra Selfie Museum at Pentagon City mall. This is my first indoor mural and it felt great to challenge myself and see if I still "had it" when it came to painting. I've been completely consumed with graphic work for the past couple of years, and  I wasn't sure if I could still execute free hand painting as well as I used to - let alone on this scale.

Pleasantly surprised myself.

Dinner Outing @ Nara-Ya DC

had an outing with my girls last weekend.
Nara-ya is a visual dream - from the moment you walk in the door to the very second you sit down; the restaurant is stunning. the food did not disappoint and the drinks were gorgeous (and yummy).

in these strange times, it feels good to be able to get out and enjoy good company.

A Much Needed Escape to Hawaii

hey guys,
doing my usual 'I'm going to post more and then disappearing for months thing.' I'm sure if you're a follower of my blog you've grown used to it by now.

I hope all is well with you and you're staying safe.

I just got back from a very much needed Hawaiian vacation and I feel so rejuvenated and ready to take on whatever is thrown my way. There's something about a change of scenery that just does something to you - especially when the beach is involved. :)

Inspire the Tribe x First (Outdoor) Mural: Day 1

my whole body hurts (lol) but day one was a success.
I spent four hours laying the base down and I will return at the end of April to add the finishing touches (had to take a quick break for birthday festivities).

creating a mural has been on my bucket list for years so having it finally come to fruition is a blessing. I'm excited to see what doors this will open for me. It's only up from here.

I'm blossoming into the woman I always knew/ dreamed I could be.

I do not fear my potential because I am realizing it,
living up to it and I will surpass it.

xoxo

Inspire the Tribe X No Kids Allowed DC

So... I didn’t do a real year end recap of 2020. Honestly so much happened, and I just didn’t have the energy. BUT one cool thing that took place was my collaboration with No Kids Allowed (@nka.dc)! These special colorways can be found in their gifting shop in Eastern Market. Check them out if you’re in the DC area.

End of Year Recap: 2020

 2020,

you beautiful crazy mess, you.

it feels cliche to say, but this year taught me more

it toughened me.

I laughed (somehow),

cried

and a part of me died.

but the rest of me lived to see another day

and that is something I will never take for granted again.

I found immense success in my business endeavors

profit from my website alone increased 2,582% from the year prior.

my highest grossing year yet

and more than all of the years I've been in business

... combined!

but more importantly than that, I grew more connected with my TRIBE community

and the outpouring of love was felt.

my products were featured in multiple monthly subscription boxes,

two mobile bookshops

a brick and mortar store in DC

and I worked on new collaborations that excited and challenged me.

I set goals and crushed them - set new goals and reached them.

proud of the woman that I show up as

each day more powerful than the last

and I have no plans of slowing down.

2021 feels promising

is it too late for a year end recap?

I want to do one because 2020 was a huge year for me

but I also don't feel like putting it together

...

I may circle back around
